Sussex Construction
The
philosophy at Sussex Cabinetry & Construction is “to design a house
around a family is to design a home”. We specialize in efficient,
innovative custom homes. We prefer to concentrate on the details,
not the square footage. Rather than having a huge, sprawling house,
with stock trims and cabinets and wasted or extravagant spaces, our
interest is in ergonomic designs that suffice the dwellers needs and
habits efficiently and eloquently. We custom design trims, cabinets
and details. Frankly, we are not interested in houses built quickly,
dispassionately, and plainly for nobody in particular. A necessity
need not be drab, dull and characterless. We are passionate about
helping people realize that their beautiful dream homes can reflect
their own personal tastes, lifestyle and flair.
Ron
was raised with a strong work ethic, and was born with a natural ability
and fascination for creating things. His first construction experiences
were with his father, then later in Bozeman to help pay his way through
college. A degree in business management took him to the former Soviet
Union with the Peace Corps, directly after graduation. After serving
his full term, he traveled the world extensively. Enlightened and
inspired by his experience he returned to his homeland, Helena, Montana
in 1995.
Ron
resumed his beloved trade as soon as he returned home. He named his
company “Sussex” after the region his European wife, Rebekka Cantrell,
comes from.
Rebekka
is greatlyinvolved in the company, too. Her background in art and
gardening gives her home designs interest and freshness. Rebekka is
a passionate gardener and believes the landscaping around a house
is paramount to achieving a true home. She owes her extensive gardening
knowledge to both her parents who keep a spectacular garden in England,
and a local landscape nursery, where she worked joyfully for her first
three and a half years in the States.
