Derek Brown Construction

After several years as a successful civil engineer, Derek expanded his business in
1976 to include construction. He was born in England but has made Montana his home
for over half his life. Derek raised his family in Helena and has continually worked to make Helena a better place to live through numerous civic and community commitments.
For 2 years in a row, Derek was recognized as Helena’s Builder of the Year. In 2001
he was chosen by the Montana Building Industry Association as Montana’s Builder of
the Year for his involvement in the legislature, work for the building industry and his
tireless volunteer work on the local level.

The firm’s personal attention to all phases of construction requires a solid foundation of traditional methods and practices as well as a commitment to an expanding knowledge of new styles and products. This continuing focus enhances Derek Brown Construction’s ability to help the home owner and business developer create unique and affordable details from the design phase to application of the final trim.
